HO "Chicago style" - 2 Track Elevated "Starter" Kit

"Chicago style" (open web truss / lattice support columns) - 2 Track Deluxe "Starter" Kit includes 4 Support Columns.

Add on "Extension " kits (2 Support Columns) are available to add onto this structure.

NOTE Dec. 2020: This is "Gen2.0" designed to integrate with our NY-style Elevated structure at track level.  If you are building onto existing Chicago "Gen1.0" structure, please contact us so that we may provide you with that engineering level kit.

The open-web trusses and lattice support columns in this kit represent the Chicago-style L structure. Tie sections and (center) walkway included, ready for your hand-spiked or glued down rail.

HO scale dimensions are 9.5" long x 4.5" wide, 5.25"T  (per section) with 4.1" underside clearance.

One piece tie strips are ready for your hand-spiked or glued down rail (rail not included, code 83 recommended). Use an NMRA fixture to gauge your rails.

As an alternative to hand laid rail, some modelers use Atlas Flex Track or Micro Engineering Bridge Track on top of our structure.

Add on Extension kits to lengthen your overall Elevated Railway Structure.

Constructed of quality MDF and micro plywoods, the resulting structural section is capable of supporting your heaviest models.

The structure is easily coloured with either "rattle can", water / solvent based paints or dry pigment powders.

Note that the model shown was "rattle can" spray painted with a Krylon grey ... quick and easy!
