The ITLA Scale Models HO scale Southside Hotel is our flagship structure, representing all of our fine and unique details in one significant kit.

This 5 story structure represents the iconic turn of the century brick hotels that are seen in downtown areas, many of which are modernized and still in use today.

The modeller can choose to build it as a period piece, or modernize it with the Air Conditioner units and Exhaust Ducting included.

Designed as a backdrop structure, the rear wall is "blank" with no details, to be placed away from the viewer.

This model follows ITLA Scale Models' design philosophy, giving the modeller the ability to "kitbash" right out of the box with interchangeable wall sections. Many unique configurations are possible.

HO4160 Southside Hotel kit features …

• Multiple Build Versions - upper floors left, upper floors right, upper floors any position off centre … detailed side walls, integral sidewalk sections, “blank” or undetailed back walls.

• Configurable / Interchangeable side wall sections, interior floors and walls

• Upper floor section may be positioned left ot right of centre

• (see photos for various configurations)

• “Shallow Relief” Building is approx.16” L X 1 1/2” W by 12” H.

• The Integral Sidewalk accepts the building walls in keyed slots & is approx. 3” W x 15 3/4” L with the use of the two corner optional curb sections included.

• Additional Corner Sidewalk sections included – optional for modelling street corners and increases overall street length to 18 3/4””

• Robust tab and slot wall construction utilizing 1/8” MDF wood material and micro plywood overlays

• Modular part design enables a quick and stable build.

• “Intermediate” level build, simple construction with standard hobby tools, WeldBond (white) Wood Glue or Gel Super Glues, sanding stick / paper, straight edge, basic clamps.

• Full instructions with colour photos, paint and build tips.

• Easily paintable with solvent or water based paints.
